I Love It

5

Just tried this after having it in my cupboard for a few months and feeling like I never had the time to try it.  I normally use a permanent light golden brown on my roots only (to cover my gray hair, of which I have quite a bit, I'd say 40%).  After three weeks I normally have to dye my roots again but this time I tried this, using the cute brush to evenly apply it to my gray roots (after washing with the CR Volumizing Rose Paste)  I covered the rest of my hair with the CR Regenerating Mask, and let the whole situation settle for the recommended 40 minutes.  The results: amazing.  My roots are completely covered and blended beautifully, my lengths are super bouncy and frizz free and I have loads of volume in my hair which can be quite flat and lifeless.  For reference I have long fine hair, past my shoulders, with a natural wave.  Looking forward to purchasing again (when it is back in stock, hopefully soon) to use in between permanent colour and who knows maybe I could get to the point of just using this, I certainly prefer the lack of chemicals of this product!

Soft and shiny

This is a nice subtle colour and unlike many other hair dyes, doesn't smell unpleasant or too strong. It was easy to apply and use and has left my hair really soft and shiny. The colour seems to be lasting well and it covered the few grey hairs really well.

Great product

Easy to use product, covered the Grey's nicely, pleasant smell, would use again

Touch up heaven

I was really surprised with the coverage of this colour. It went on smoothly and have a really natural and authentic look. Packaging is great and really looks the part. All in all I would recommend this to anyone looking for a temporary hair colour that gives great results.

Temporary Color gel - Light Chestnut

I had the opportunity to try out the Christophe Robin temporary color gel in light chestnut. I found it beautifully packaged and immediately was drawn to the product. Although it is only a temporary colour ( I usually use a permanent colour) I was interested to see how it would work. I found the product easy to use and the colour was beautiful. It did take a while to develop but for a nice temporary colour I would recommend. The instructions were clear and I felt like this was quite a high end product compared to other on the market.

Great colour

I loved the colour and the scent of this product. It was very easy to use. However, it doesn't last very long, 2 weeks maximum and not all of my greys were covered as my usual product covers them.

Easy to use but colour not for me

4

Let me start by describing my hair type. It's very thick hair. Like, I have LOTS of hair on my head. Every hair dresser comments on it, and it takes ages to do any kind of hairdressing activity as a result. It makes colouring quite inconvenient, especially at home, because there's so much hair to work through. Let's get to the gel. The gel is easy to use. It doesn't require any mixing. You just open the box and it's ready to go! I don't have lots of grey hair, literally maybe 15 hairs, all around my temples, so I didn't need to do this, but if you are covering a lot of grey, there's a brush to help apply the gel. The consistency of the gel is really good, it clings to the hair - when you have as much hair as me, that's really important!! It has to cling, otherwise you end up with gel dripping off your hair while you try to colour the rest! The smell is not unpleasant. There's no ammonia smell, which is usually the overpowering and sometimes eye watering fragrance, so that's a real positive. The colour lasts a few washes, so if you're someone like me who washes their hair every day, it won't last as long as a more infrequent hair washer! The colour wasn't a colour I'd use again, it just wasn't quite me. The beauty of it being temporary though is that you could try different colours and see what you think!

Great inbetween colour!

I tried this on my already coloured hair- it was great inbetween hair colours to freshen up the colour and leave my hair feeling healthy. 40 minutes is a long time for a non-permanent alternative which is why I have only given it 3 stars. For something that washed out relatively quickly the time invested is disproportionate to the longevity of results.

Gentle colour

4

A nice gentle tone added to my brown hair. I have natural red undertones and this has added to them. I'm 8 washes in, and it's very much starting to fade but that's to be expected with any temporary colour. It's very pretty, is not a strong smell which I appreciate, and goes on smoothly. Would recommend to anyone wanting a light touch from colouring.

Great colour match for covering greys

4

I received the Christopher Robin, Temporary Color Gel free from bzzagent to try out. The colour matched really well, I'm a dark brown but the chestnut brown covered my greys very well. Since giving birth I've noticed my greys have become harder to cover and this product really help cover them. I wasn't used to using a gel to colour my hair, I was surprised at how shiny and healthy my hair was after using it. The only downside is that it lasts less than 7 shampoos, but I only use a small amount each time so I still give it 5 stars!
